The Summit of Fort Payne offers a 12-month, faith-based intensive recovery and discipleship ministry for women who are addicted—and in many cases have been incarcerated— to overcome destructive choices and behaviors.

A 16,000-square-foot home sits on 96 acres along with two other homes. It is a place set apart as a refuge for God, “to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” (Isaiah 61:3)

Along with intensive discipleship training, The Summit offers women opportunities such as help completing their GED, a variety of college prep classes, learning life-coping skills, and tips for personal finance and budgeting. Nutrition and exercise classes also are part of the curriculum.

On this week’s TAB News, Debbie Garner, executive director; Janie Baugh, financial administrator and curriculum coordinator; and Ashton Dupree, recent graduate and intern on staff, join co-hosts Jennifer Rash and Debbie Campbell to share about The Summit. More information can be found at www.thesummitoffortpayne.com.

Following the30-minute interview, TAB staff members and correspondents will present an audio digest of this week’s issue including news, features, Dr. Batson’s Theology 101 column and Sunday School commentaries.
